Here are a couple more pics, including those of a mod I do to the Gotah friction tuners I use on these little instruments. I usually reduce the overall shape of the original button, but this time I decided to do something different as you can see in the pics.

Pete, yes they do sound good, at least to my ears! Regarding the mahogany wood, it I bought it as a T/B/S set from LMI. I got lucky, I guess, as I don't remember asking for anything special.
cyber3d, no, I'm not that Bob, but I go as burger bob on the Modern Vespa forum.
