Hey all,
I recently restrung my uke with a Freemont Soloist low G. I love the sound and it really gives the uke some depth with the lower notes. Its my 1st time stringing low G and the songs that I jam to don't sound quite right.

Anyone have any tips for a newby to the low G?

I found that I needed to adjust my strum to get a better dynamic balance between the low g string and the other notes. Specifically I learned to hit the low G string more gently on my strums so it doesn't overpower the other strings. I don't like a bass-heavy uke strum - just my preference. Let your ear guide your fingers...
