Fruit ukuleles.(pineapple shaped)

Hi.I would just like to ask whether the fruit ukuleles (with watermelon,kiwi design etc)are decent first ukukuleles.I would like to get a simple wallet friendly ukuelele that is playable.Pls tell me your review on it thx!!

It's not the shape that matters so much as the make. Kala do Ukes with the names you suggest, I have their KA-P model (wood finish with Pineapple shape) and think it great for a beginner and intermediate player. I'm told that if you buy from Mim or Uke Republic that they will ensure that the instrument is set up properly, a correct set up will make all the difference as to whether an instrument plays well for you and sounds decent.
