Hi! Does anyone recognize this ukulele? I found it in a second-hand store and I'm just wondering if it is worth $50. The text on the head says PlayTech but it seems to be just the name of a music store in Portugal... The wooden parts seem to be in a very good shape.

looks like a cheap Chinese laminate uke. if it plays well and you like it, I guess it is worth $50. its nothing special.

Thank you very much for answering! So it is no step-up from my current ukulele (https://www.amazon.com/Ohana-Green-Soprano-Ukulele-SK15G/dp/B004EFP4Q2)? It has a couple more frets and it sounded quite nice, but if it is not even as good as the one I already have, I won't buy it. The ukuleles in PlayTech were all more expensive than the one that I have but that obviously doesn't guarantee anything and I don't even know if that ukulele is from that store.

The thing about it being "better" is on you. If you think the PlayTech sounds nicer than the one you have, then it's nicer. Is Ohana a better brand? Most definitely, but only you can decide what you like better.

Sometimes better is not about how something sounds now, sometimes it's how it will sound in a year or two. If the ukulele in question was built in high humidity conditions then it might not be even playable after a certain amount of time.
