La Guacaba (Venezuelan Joropo)

Hi all,
As per my introduction thread, after spending the last decade playing several Latin American folk styles, I recently purchased a KoAloha KTM-00 in an effort to reconnect with the first instrument I ever learned. My new tenor is wonderful, and although it fights to be heard over the powerful instruments it's accompanying in this video I made to celebrate its acquisition, if you strain you can hear it among the cuatro, maracas, and bandola llanera :)

That sounds GREAT! and the video is put together nicely as well.

What software did you use to put all of this together?

Also what tuning is the bandola llanera in?

I found some info here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bandola

Hi Booli
Thanks for the comment; glad you like the song.

The software I used here was Power Director 14 which I've found is affordable and user-friendly.

The bandola is tuned ADAE which is standard for this instrument. As there aren't that many good sets of strings made specifically for the bandola llanera, I use the 6th, 5th, 3rd and 2nd from a set of high or super-high tension classical guitar strings.

Excellent Video! Wonderful and I enjoyed it! Hope to see more.
