I am pretty sure I have UAS. No denying about it. But recently, I found myself suffering from another incurable disease, I am not sure if there is a name for it, I think UU members probably already knew about it...

I am spending more and more time on the UU forum, checking it all day long... Hope my work is not suffering...

This is FAD, Forum Addiction Disease. A new but virulent addiction that reduces your playing time. The cure is a new Concert/Tenor/Soprano!

Yes, FAD is a subset of IAD (Internet Addiction DIsorder)

see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet_addiction_disorder

and here for more https://www.google.com/search?sourc.....0...1.1.64.psy-ab..0.1.263....0.ime4-l6FH2I

happens to most of us, and coincides with UAS, and SCO (String Changing Obsession - see http://forum.ukuleleunderground.com/showthread.php?93141-It-s-like-UAS-only-worse-SCO)

the support groups meet here on UU at 15 min intervals, so dont be late for your next check-in :)

I relish UAS, see my signature. I'm on UU (and Talk Bass) often in the day and I also practice everyday. I'm retired and have lots of time on my hands.

Wow, FAD and SDO ...... once again, UU is filled with useful informations.

FAD and UAS are linked and the only thing to get in your way with UAS is MAS (money acquisition syndrome).

Me too. Well, I'm retired, but I'm pretending that I'm a professional musician, so that takes up some of my time. I'm always getting ready for something, and that keeps me going on the ukulele regularly. But I have often wondered how I would juggle my musicianship, my metal detecting, my working on old motorcycles, my novel writing, my net surfing, and my general goofing around that I do if I had a job and kids around the house. Luckily I don't have either. The wife is taking courses in sewing and fashion design on line, so that keeps her busy most of the time, so I don't even have to think about entertaining her. I've got to say, my sixties have been the best years of my life.

One think I have noticed, is that if you look at where people live, there seems to be a bit of an uptick during working hours.

I have AWS (Avoiding Work Syndrome), which results in FAD, and which often leads to UAS.
