You can blame me for Strings by Mail not having the strings. I sure I bought the last of the sopranos; two sets shipped and one is back ordered. I know it won't make you feel any better, but I'm excited that they should be delivered today.
The strings are settling in. My initial response has been delight. The sustain is amazing. The strings are lively, though not quite so lively as the set that I removed (probably nylgut) with more mellow character. They seem lighter than what was on before. So far I really like these. Time will tell me more..
As a point of info:I can second Low-G review , i like them for the vibrato and am able to bend the strings , also the sort of tacky feel to them but i'm getting used to it now i thought of buying some FastFret .

Hi frigiliana
As a point of info:
I tried FastFret - didn't work! Neither did veg oil. Looks like it has to be wax.
Failing those, maybe a few strokes with some super-fine grit micromesh will make things better?
Enough silliness. Now I've got my sugar strings waxed, I'm really pleased with them. Might try Living Waters next, though.

HiI have a set of Living Waters here to try. Have good expectations for them.
Just visited your blog - thank you so much for posting your uke transcriptions. I'm a big fan of classical ukes.
