I've researched quite a number of threads on the forum regarding the KA-KTE-C (I have seen Roy youtube video), None actively to recent. Have an opportunity (retail) for a Used Kala KA-KTE-C Tenor ($115 plus tax) to compliment my Kamaka Concert. Which is a laminate Koa top/sides/back with electric pickup. Volume control dial has about 2/3's response (1st 1/3 turning dial doesn't seem to be tuning it up) and tone dial doesn't seem to have any effect at all. Also it could be the strings but it seems to sound pretty good 1st 3-4 frets and then less intonation or a little more muted as you move towards the body. The Uke appearance is fine. Any lovers of this model and or seize or flea council? Or high recommended electric tenor model to keep an eye out for instead. Thank you.
