I was changing the strings on an Enya EUR X1 camp uke. The compensated saddle came out of its slot in the bridge. On the G and A strings should the compensation slant toward the nut or the other direction? Need some help.

G and A toward the nut. The thicker the string, the longer it needs to be to properly intonate. So the C and E slant away from the nut. A tip for the future -- the first time you change strings take the saddle out and mark the A string end on the underneath with a black marker.

Yes to everything Don said: the contact points of the G and A string on this kind of saddle need to be the ones closer to the nut.
