I’ve been playing in my church band for several months and it’s going great. The acoustic guitar guy uses an AB switch box as kind of an “on/off” for when he wants to mute his guitar to re-tune, put on & take his capo, unplug without the noise, etc. On occasion he will have a second guitar, but mainly it’s to mute. I would like the have this option. Is the AB switch the simplest choice or is there something else that functions the same or might be more useful. Neither he nor I use a DI box at church. We don’t need it with the way the church sound system is set up. My uke has a MiSi pickup.

Are you handy looks like a simple build.

My Digitech RP360 auto mutes the signal when using the built in tuner, Ive never looked at a dedicated tuner pedal. Perhaps this is an option?

An inexpensive tuner pedal will do the same thing. When you click it on to tune it mutes the output signal. I have a Donner tuner pedal. I think it cost $20.

You can get cables with kill switches. Might be easier at this point. One less thing to think about.
