my father-in-law lived to see his 98th birthday and
quietly passed away after most of the family had the
opportunity to visit with him a few weeks before he died.
All of the grandchildren were able to make the trip. and
Grandpa was lucid and cogent enough to recognize and
enjoy them! Praise the LORD!

I will be attending and possibly performing at the Funeral
on Sat Mar 3rd. It is supposed to be a celebration of life!

I will endeavor to visit the lei-making Aunties at the Makai
Food Court at the Ala Moana Shopping Center (Diamond
Head end, near Cinnabon). If you are there, text me at
(206-234-6972) I hope we can meet :)

LORD willing, I hope to return this Summer for the Ukulele
Festival at Kapiolani Park in mid July. If you are planning
on attending, let me know and I will explain how you can
actually perform (with 200 of your closest friends) and
earn a Participant's Gold Medallion!! :) email me at
( rohiguchi@seattleschools.org ).

last thing, Choirguy has created some wonderful videos of
the Ukulele Boot Camp Practice Sheets. Search YouTube
for 'ukulele boot camp' and you should find them. They (5
of them) have a similar appearance and will cover the 5 Keys
of the Practice Sheets (C, F, G, A ,D).

let's thank Choirguy for putting these together!

Sorry to hear about your father-in-law, Rod, but it sounds like his passing was easeful.

A big THANKS to you both. I have been using them to practice the last two days!

Thanks for the kind thoughts Greenie :)

rlbccb, I'm so glad to hear of someone using what Choirguy created for Ukulele Boot Camp users.
Don't you think Choirguy did a great job?

I'm so glad he reached out and offered his expertise and efforts to create the videos!

Mahalo, Choirguy!!

I ran across reference to your ukulele boot camp when I started with the Uke about 10 months ago. I have used the exercises off and on since then. Choirguy took it to another level for me. It also showed me the importance of a metronome. The exercises are really helping with my muscle memory and speed gains.

OK folks, time to close this one down :)

the Memorial Service for my Father-in-law went very nicely.
many friends and family showed up, some coming from a distance,
like Georgia, Arizona, Washington, etc.

I led some singing at the start - Smile, Pennies from Heaven, and
What a Wonderful World. He used to sing some of these old favorites
to his family.

I also played and sang at the placing of the urn - Aloha Oe and Hawai'i
Aloha.

I also visited and sang with the lei-making Aunties at the Makai Food
Court at the Ala Moana Center. One day, I sang and played for 6 hours!

Thanks for your prayers and good vibes :)
