Going to buy 6-string Uke sight unseen. I have 2 questions:

1) Should I go with a low or high G?

2) Ohana TK-70-6 (Spruce/Hog) or Kala KA-ASAC-T6 (All Acacia). Which one?

These are, of course, subjective questions but I'd still like feedback from the community.

Thanks!

I'd probably go with the Kala acacia, & if it has a low A, I don't think I'd worry that much about getting a Low G string. :)

(I have a Baton Rouge solid spruce concert, a Kala solid acacia concert, & an Ohana solid mahogany long neck concert, all low G, so my opinion comes from playing these)

I like the reentrant G followed by the low C string. You get max "chime" and can still do a base line on the 5th string. Personally, I'd go with the Ohana 8 string with solid spruce top. Unreal sound for $289. The Ohana is all solid wood and the Kala a laminate. Solves the problem for me, but that Kala is gorgeous. I tend to go with my ears.
