CL sale of a few ukes

The seller doesn't list the model numbers of these.
Kalas and Cordoba's vary quite a bit on price from the low end to the high end.
Also important is where they were purchased, did these have a professional set up, or were the bought from a big box store?
All of that and you need to check for condition.
Good luck, and use caution.

maki66: some of the model numbers were shown in the pics, and i'll look them up. i'm a guitar player so i really appreciate you response--wise words!

Heck yea! The two Kala tenors by themselves cost over $525. If I had the change, I would buy those in a heart beat. Have had my eye on that Kala SMHT for a while (retails at around $280).

I took a closer look and yes, those are some very decent ukuleles, one solid spruce top, and an all mahogany.
The Cordaba 24B retails for $250.
Price wise it looks like a great deal, condition looks good too.
Ask to see and play them and take the asking price in cash.
Nice find, let us know how it works out?

Yes yes and yes this is a great deal. As maki66 said they would require an inspection to make sure they are in good shape. If they are all ok than that is an excellent deal

i go to see them tomorrow. now i need to memorize a couple of chords in my head since i don't have a uke to practice on. i forgot to ask about cases or gig bags so i'll have to figure out how to transport them safely(and, not in the trunk).
thanks to all!!

I got mine for $259 from Elderly. :) These look like nice ukes, especially the Kala ones. My question would be about the setup(s) and where they were purchased, too.

That's a sweet deal and you can probably talk them down a little bit - at least under the psychological $500 mark. I would call it the "UAS Starter Kit"!

If they are still available..... Snap them up. If they have no issues other than needing a good setup, purchase the tools you may need to do so. It will benefit you in the future and not overly difficult IMO.
Would love to run across a deal like that in my area.

well, i got them. he wanted $525 but took $500. they all seem to be in very good shape with only a couple small dings total. now to check for some string sales but only a couple seem to need new strings.
thanks to all for your information!!!

What you got (unfortunately the pictures aren't still available) was pretty much a steal for $500. You could probably even sell a few of them a get a good chunk of that money back.

thanks all!

i'm probably going to give one to my daughter in law, who plays guitar. she has a 00015sm martin and is a very good player. i've already purchased her 3 1/2 yr old son, milo, a cheapo mitchell uke. i think i can teach him to play a few chords and that may spur her on to play with him as a duo. ha!

question: where do you buy your strings, and, the proverbial question of which brands do you like? i have 3 tenors, 1 concert and a baritone. also, looking for hangers.

thanks again,

That's just a couple.

As for baritone strings, I just started playing one but, the Aquila super nygut strings that were stock were quite good, IMO.
I changed them out anyway to Living Water flouro carbons, non wounds, and I can't even begin to say how much I love them.

All of our many other sopranos, concerts, and tenors have Martin flouro carbons strings.
With the exception of my wife's Kala cedar top concert, she has kept the Aquila nyguts that were stock. She likes the feel and tone.
