I am making a ukulele storage and need to be able to fit a tenor ukulele in it. Could someone give me the dimensions. (length, width, height)(if you can get the height+the strings that would be nice.)

FYI I have a soprano ukulele but may eventually want a tenor.

thanks in advance.

These dimensions will give you a bit of leeway for a tenor with the standard 17" scale:

total length - 27"
upper bout width - 7"
lower bout width - 10"
thickness - 4"

Good luck with your project!

You should do that. Someone else is going to want to do the same thing.

Just a thought. Some mfg's offer an 18" scale so you may want to keep that on mind.

And... if you ever decide to get a baritone...

John

28" for my 18" scale tenor with 15 frets to the body.

Thanks to all for the info.;)

I will make sure that I take it into consideration.:D

I am trying to keep the project somewhat small in order to keep the price down.:)

I might not be able to finish the project for a while, but l will let you know when I make a thread abought it.:D:music:

Headstocks can vary a bit as they are kind of the builders signature. I have a four string tenor that is 5 " long and 4" wide WITH geared tuners. Without geared tuners its 2 1/2" wide.
The 8 stringer is 6" long and 4 1/2" wide with geared tuners. Without geared tuners its 3" wide.
