Rare William King Long Scale Koa Tenor Ukulele, c. 2012. Scale length from nut to the saddle is 18 1/16 inches. Body length is 13 inches. Nut width is 1.5 inches. Body is koa. Head plate, fretboard, bridge, end graph, and bonding are all ebony. It has a well executed gloss finish and looks virtually new although it's from 2012. This uke fits nicely in a baritone case and has a slightly larger body than most tenors but is considerably light in weight and highly resonant. It plays beautifully and has sat in it's case for most of its life and is begging to be played. Oahu hard case included. In terms of the condition, this uke is immaculate! It was first owned by a collector of high end ukes who didn’t really play but loves collecting and so it sat in the case all these years until summer 2017. I am the 2nd owner and have played it just a few hours.

This uke has it all, great sound, playability, looks and feel. The larger body really gives this instrument a bigger bolder sound without the added weight. The uke is very light considering the size and very resonant. It's one the best examples of William King ukes. It has great tone and is quite light with larger sound box and so you get some very nice sounds out of the uke because of this feature. Not to mention the string action and set up are very well done. It's very easy to fret and play. This is an outstanding player uke and tough to come by nowadays with William no longer building ukes. I am selling as I prefer standard scale tenors.

In comparison to a Kamaka longneck tenor, the William King is substantially lighter in weight with a larger sound box and bigger sound but yet a very balanced and even sound. You don't have pitchiness to it either. Nice and even tones up and down the neck and very easy to play.

Here’s a very recent sound sample with worth brown strings in reentrant b-tuning:

I continue to be humbled by the breadth and variety of the Ukes you discover and offer to us.

If you have never had the pleasure of doing business with this man, here is your rare chance. My two transactions went perfectly and you will be happy with whatever Ukes he offers. He finds unique, little known, and very well known Uke manufacturers and gives us the opportunity to own one at a price substantially less than new. Don't wait to get something that he offers.

Thank you Hodge.
