I have a Caramel U-Bass with a Belcat UK-500B pickup system with Chromatic Tuner. Shortly after I acquired the instrument, the pickup system stopped functioning for no apparent reason. It was fine one day and the next time I plugged it up it didn't work - the tuner nor the pickup.
I contacted Caramel and they quickly sent me a new one, which also doesn't work. I can find nothing wrong with either of these units. NO loose wires or damage of any kind. I have installed new batteries and still nothing.
Has anyone out there had a similar problem with this type of U-Bass pickup system? MY Lanakai Tenor Uke has Belcat U-2000 on it and it has worked flawlessy for years.
Does anyone know of another pickup system that would work on the U-Bass? Thanks.
