On Sunday we had a gig playing at a local farmer's market. We were so cold we packed up early and went home to get warm. That gave me the idea for this song, which came to me yesterday morning while I was lying in bed. (keeping warm, of course

I'm behind on watching videos, so I won't be surprised if someone did this one already, since Leonard Cohen seems to be kind of a go-to guy for a lot of uke players, lol. I used his original lyrics, but the way I sang it is much more heavily influenced by the Jennifer Warnes cover than by how he sang it. I actually did it in the same key as Cohen, but sang a whole octave higher.

When I was a kid, "ain't" rhymed with "aint" and "cain't." It still does, for most of my relatives.
