About to purchase first ukulele after playing guitar for many years.
I'm after a tenor acoustic electric - anticipate most use will however be acoustic.
I'd luv any recommendations you might have about these I've shortlisted or any other suggestions you might have in that beginner-intermediate price band:

Ohana TK-20CE
Cordoba 22T-CE
Kala KA-TE

Thanks in anticipation - newbie Geoffstc

Hi and welcome to the forum and to ukulele. Coming from guitar you will understand what I am about to say. The Ohana and the Cordoba both have a solid wood top so that should give them the edge in tone. Both are well made instruments as is the Kala. The Cordoba is 1-1/2" at the nut, Ohana is 1-3/8" which is more common. I am assuming you don't have the opportunity to play them??? The mahogany top of the Ohana should be warmer and mellower sounding than the solid spruce top of the Cordoba. Tone of course boils down to personal preference.

Welcome aboard.

I always recommend starting with a concert, unless coming from another stringed instrument, so I will say get a tenor, & Kala or Ohana. :)

I'm heading into Brisbane (Australia) to try out some ukes today. I've just been doing a crash course to learn as much as I can about ukes before buying.
I appreciate the info about the type of sound (mellow - mahogony) and nut size.

Wooo, by chance you going to see Trevor Gollagher Music in Brisbane?

Now he has Barron River Ukes, not exactly beginner instruments, but the Cream of the Aussie Crop! LOL ;)
