I've been thinking about trying a Soprano Ukulele for a while but never had a good opportunity to get acquainted with one. I was at the Allegheny Ukulele Soiree this past weekend and Mim (of Mim's Ukes) had a nice selection of instruments. After trying out just about every soprano she had, I realized that a soprano fretboard was just too cramped for my pudgy fingers. However, the Ohana Super Soprano was perfect. It has a concert-size neck grafted to a soprano body, so it gave me the best of both worlds. Of course, it sounds fantastic and Mim gave it her usual world-class setup, so it's as good as it can get.
And did I mention it's gorgeous?
I'll probably change the Aquila strings to flurocarbons soon and I'll be installing a strap pin. I expect I'll be playing this one a lot!
