Hello all,
Appreciate this site. Just started playing the ukulele in November 2017. Started playing guitar at age 9, dulcimer at age 18 - never became very proficient at either, just not persistent enough in practicing. Am better at harmonica (just naturally, somehow), and thought maybe would be better with a wind instrument, but haven't tried others except for the recorder and tin whistle which I am/was pretty decent at. I thought maybe I didn't have rhythm, but that's not the case, and don't think that's the case with most who think they don't. Just need to practice this time around and am doing it, every day now.

Hi welcome Linda!!

I'm a newbie as well and it does take some hard work to play proficiently ! but it's fun so I don't mind it.

Thank you, sunshiNee,
I have to agree. Am having so much fun that the practicing comes naturally.
Linda

It's so much fun that I prefer to think of it as playing, rather than practicing. :)
Welcome to the UU, Linda!

Welcome to the forum.
The ukulele has really helped my rhythm as well.
I too play a tin whistle, though not very well.
