Default No Clamp? No Problem! NUD Luna repair

Well i got a bargain on a Luna Tapa Solid Cedar Electro concert for 30 brand new from a dealer due to a loose brace causing a 'rattle while strumming'

Personally couldnt hear it unless i was thrashing it, but thought i would whip out the wood glue and shore her up.

Luckily the brace in question was literally right next to the pickup controls so after sliding that out access was easy. Unfortunatly I done have a clamp nor any jacks.

Using a bit of basic physics with a fork, some cling film, a box and heavy books - voila we have the joint held in place

Nice looking uke although not sure i would have paid full price for it but im a bit of a sap for bargains!

The improvising thought process used to rescue is sometimes the most fun next to playing you can have with a ukulele.

Clever! Who needs a clamp? Thanks, gravity.
