Hello from Federal Way, WA

Just a few moments ago I pulled the trigger and ordered my first ukulele. I have been listening to Jake Shimabukuro for years and finally decided it was time to give it a try myself.

I have larger hands so I went with a tenor and the best sounding tenor I found (for my ears, and budget) was the Oscar Schmidt OU7TE. I also really liked the looks and that it was acoustic/electric.

Anyone familiar with this specific ukulele or have any thoughts on it?

Welcome to the forums!! Your Oscar Schmidt should be just fine to start your journey with! Just be sure it has a good setup. This will make the learning process so much easier.
