Good Cheap Travel Guitar

here is a martin backpacker it is a strange looking guitar but i heard that it is light and plays very nice it is also loud for its size

ive messed with those before. a shipmate in the navy had one and let me mess with it. and im always trying to give it a chance whenever im at the local GC. and everytime its the same verdict... at least in my humble opinion... in the words of the great antoine merryweather (of In Living Color fame)... hated it.

id rather get a baby taylor or mini martin. theyre bigger, but they play and sound better and dont cost much more.

I actually owned one of those backpackers for a few days then sold it off. It was actually a nifty little guitar, but it wasn't all that impressive. The baby taylor on the other hand was a GREAT guitar when I tried it out. 10x better than the backpacker, but at the time the baby taylor was 3x more expensive than the backpacker.
