I'm really amazed at how well the uke and violin work together. I don't know the song or its religious meaning, but it sounds great!
Sounds great! I was just today wondering what songs i could play with my sister, she plays violin, do you have some ideas? i am pretty much clueless, dont know to many violin songs apart from classic stuff.
Would be great if someone has some pointers, i am a beginner level ukulele player, so dont give me to hard stuff
fantastic
I've got a few dates to play with a violin and a viola, now I'm even more excited!
Jay Unger's Ashokan Farewell?
EDIT: I found chords for this:

Yeah, that's a good one. My GF plays the violin, and we do this one together now and again (although I use slightly different chords... I took a guess at them, based just on hearing her play the melody line, and now I'm used to doing it that way!)
But really pretty much any song is good fodder for a violin/ukulele duo as long as you've got the chords and melody. We've done stuff from the Real Book (bossa novas and "gypsy" jazz seem to work well), and just last weekend we were going through a Jumpin' Jim book.
