Ukulele Stores

There's a place in San Antonio named Guitar Tex. Despite the name, they have a great selection of ukuleles, accessories, books, etc.

Thanks Alec . . . C'mon guys, any other stores in your neck of the woods? Our members from Canada, Europe and the Orient, y'all have any suggestions. I can add to the listing.

This might serve as a sort of traveler's guide if enough people post things on it.

Simple task: give fellow UU members information on Ukulele stores in different cities.

As for me

I live in the El Segundo/Manhattan Beach area.

In El Segundo there's Kahanamoku's Swimboat (On Standard and Grand across the street from Cold Stones) If you go inside, tell the owner Mark that Daniel sent you.

Other than that the only other uke store I've been in is Dietez Bros
240 S. Sepulveda
Manhattan Beach CA, 90266
310-379-6799

it has a bigger selection but is a bit more pricey. but their 40% off sale is killer.

so I ask all of you, whether you live in Hawaii or Ohio, Alabama or Alaska, to let everyone know where YOU buy YOUR ukes.

shakalohana!

Kid

You must live near me! Island Legends is in Torrance but close enough from us with one of the best selections in Los Angeles County.

Do these establishments have ukuleles in stock? Any way you can find out what brands, etc.

I happened upon this website for a store in Tempe, AZ. It looks amazing for a mainland shop.

Acoustic Vibes Music Inc
2070 E. Southern Ave.
Tempe, Arizona 85282
http://www.acousticvibesmusic.com/index.php

The website has that they sell Collings, Kanile'a, Ko'olau, National, Pono, Koaloha, and some builders like Rick Turner, Maui Music and T's. Apparently they deal in high quality Acoustic Instruments. I know the ukes are. I have not been there yet but I plan on going the week after Labor day as I will be around Phoenix for work. If you want to hold off until I check it out thats cool, or maybe someone in AZ knows this store and can vouch for it.

Nice find! And after browsing through their site, I'm impressed with the lineup of quality instruments available for the consumer. I'll just go ahead and list it. Thank you and I'm sure UU members in Arizona will be happy for another resource.

And Mike, I'll update the listing with the info you provided . . . a hui hou
