I'm looking for some typical Hawaii chords on the ukulele, and maybe some good finger-picking-Hawaii-style riffs

Thanks for any help :)

Good topic, so many people around here go for non-Hawaiian music that we forget were the uke first got popular, as for chords, its a bit hard to isolate any one chord as island sounding, but I can definately help you with some links
http://www.tropicalstormhawaii.com/cgi-bin/view.cgi?pid=music
that should help, the tablature section has quite a few riffs in it
for higher end stuff, the dominator is always a great choice

its not all hawaiin but a good portion is

I was just thinking to suggest tropical storm hawaii
I can confirm if you're looking for hawaiian songs that's the place to be

And if you want a really FUN hawaiian song to learn with a lot of picking I suggest you check out Guava Jam by the Kaau Crater Boys.

Aldrine has a video of this song

And Dominator has the tablature for it though it is slightly different from aldrine's.
Link is in Citrus's post above :]

Get yourself one of the instructional books by Herb Ohta, Jr. Cool hawaiian licks and tunes.

Just play D7-G7-C until you turn green around the cheeks. Works for me, the only downturn is that you sacrifice some of your social life (friends, family, goodwill, the supposedly unrelenting loyalty of your dog). But boy, do you get da aina running in your veins!
