Hi all,
I purchased this uke from Mike last July, thinking that I would take it with me on the numerous overseas trips I have been making recently for work. However, ended up buying a Baby Taylor for that purpose and have not really spent much time playing this, especially since I have spent about half the time in Russia. I have decided my Flea fills the uke niche for me and I hate having this nice uke sitting around in the case untouched.
The uke was fitted with a Mi-Si pickup that Mike installed in his shop while I waited - and which works great. I have only even charged it a few times given the limited amount of playing time the uke has had. I also purchased a "Uke Crazy" semi-hard foam case and stand from MusicManMic - both of which are included in the sale.
The uke is in excellent shape as it really has seen very little use. You can see from the photos that the red cdar woodgrain has some "bear-clawing", which I actually liked because it was unique! Additionally, Mike had a little accident with the drill-bit when he installed the pickup, leaving the hole for the pickup input a little too large. He offered me a different uke but I thought it was not a big deal and had him just put a slightly oversized washer on with the end cap. You can see from the photo that it looks fine and certainly has no effect on playability.
Because of this, Mike did cut me a deal - which I am passing on to you. The total price on the uke and accessories is $225 shipped to the CONUS, Paypal only. All of the following is included:
Mainland Red Cedar Concert Ukulele
Installed Mi-Si under-saddle pick-up with AC charger and instruction manual
Uke Crazy semi-hard foam case (slightly large - but snug fit with extra foam pieces seen in the photo)
Metal & foam uke stand (nothing fancy but gets the job done)
Extra bone saddle (in case you like to tinker)
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Eric
