So right now I'm starting to get really interested in songs with fingerpicking solos, intros, bridges, etc...

If any of you guys know some pretty good songs(ukulele song or not) with some really cool solos then plz list some below ;) anything but country btw D: (no offense to you country lovers out there :) but plz take some time to think of some or maybe even search for me(lol) MUCH APPRECIATED GUYS! :D

P.S. If you've played a concert or soprano Luna ukulele(tatoo series) then plz tell me how they sound, i've only heard things about their dolphin and high tide ukes unfortunately /: so if you can help me out, again, it'd be much appreciated :)

lots of smileys and parentheses

I have to say, one of my favorite solos is in the song November Rain by the Guns N Roses... Basically any solo Slash has ever done is epic though!

cool fingerpickinging solos

these song are pretty hard and long but sound abousolutely awesome i can play the them and performed the 1st is tears in heaven by ukulele underground and 'my guitar gently weeps' by Jake Shimabukuro and dragon by Jake Shimabukuro they sound awesome u should learn them if ur a good ukuleleian then they should take you about 5 hours for all of them my guitar gently weeps is the hardest tho. good luck:D:cool:

My favorite fingerpicking solo is "Kue Morning Dew" and I learned it from Learn to Play Fingerstyle Solos I recommend this book heartily--nice CD to accompany you, lessons are arranged by difficulty, there are variants of songs to teach you different styles like slack key.

"White Sandy Beach" by Bradah IZ (Israel Kamakawiwo'ole) is a really nice, mellow fingerpicking song. I couldn't find a tab, but here's a good tutorial:

Instead of strumming the body of the song, I just pick 4-3-2-1-4-3-2-1 (sounds good with low-G tuning).

I play the Luna Concert, you were wondering Labour's a+d I Am quite happy with it.

I play a Luna concert as well -one of their spruce tops. It is my favorite one. I use it for practicing and playing. I bought it from HMS with their wonderful set up. It came with Aquila Nylguts and is due for a string change. Going to go with Living Waters.

Dust in the Wind - Kansas. An amazing crowd pleaser.

Bodysurfing - Difficult for beginners but an awesome one to learn. It's originally a duet but still sounds good.

The Mystery - Corey Fugimoto Version (Sorry if I spelled his last name wrong). Another Difficult piece but amazing to learn.

Hotel California - Eagles. Learn the chords for the song. Travis pick the verse and do a light strum for the chorus and it sounds AMAZING!

Hope I Helped!

new here. just started playing uke last week (play banjo, fretless banjo, and a little guit). worked out a finger style version of one of captain beefheart's more...uh, accessible songs: HarryIrene.

uke makes all things sweeter.
