Hey guys,

I just got my first electric guitar from a poster here on the forums and it's going to be arriving tomorrow! I want to go buy a cable before it gets here, but I don't now what kind I should buy. If you could rec any that aren't outrageously expensive that'd be great. Thanks!

Dude! I was just looking for cables for an `ukulele yesterday and I found these two articles:

I use Spectraflex for my Ric.

Pick a cable under 20 feet long, for the least amount of attenuation and frequency loss. I'm a big fan of the LiveWire guaranty - They will replace any of their cables for life, even if your pet chewed through it. In the many years I've used LiveWire ( I have over a hundred between instrument, microphone and speaker cables, I've only replaced one under warranty. It was quick and painless. It was a well abused microphone cable (all my cables are well used and abused under hard road conditions). LiveWire cables are also very close to 100% shielding, for maxim extranious noise rejection. I use Monster Cable. They have an acoustic and electric cable. A little pricey tho.
