What kind of humidifier is it? The Oasis ones attach to a plastic thing and suspends itself on the strings, inside the soundhole. If you don't want to use it that way, then just inside the case with the uke.
I would place it in the area close to the body of your uke. If you leave it in the little "box" (accessory area) the humidity does not get to the uke body.

Yup, second this. Open the top of the humidifier and let the entire thing sit in water for about 5 minutes. Then drain it so that there's no standing water in the humidifier and close the lid. Repeat that about once a week, as needed.
Congrats Elebant. It is a truly beautiful, sweet sounding Uke. I have the same Acacia Kala in the baritone, and next to my spruce top spalted maple baritone, it is my favorite to play. I have my Acacia strung with Southcoastukes soft strings tuned to High F tuning (FA#DG) and it is a really wonderful sound. You are going to love your first Uke and it will be a joy every time you pick it up. Don't over do the fingers until they get conditioned a bit. Lozark
