After a lot of practicing I have learned several finger picking styles thanks to Jake’s, Ukulele Bartt’s, Ukulele Mike’s and other’s videos. One of them Ukulele Bartt calls “Flamenco Picking” and Jake calls a “Three-Finger Tremolo”. I’ve seen it called a “three finger roll” as well. Can someone tell me the proper name for it?
As can be seen on:

Jakes and Bartt's are slightly different with regards to the position in the beat the thumb is playing.

Normally in guitar terms a tremelo would be 4 fingers (PIMA) in classical and 5 fingers (PIMAI) in flamenco.

This would be a nice place to start and not too tricky... I think it has more in common (fingering wise) with a lot of banjo rolls etc

Not sure it has a name per se... but you do see it in a lot of early flamenco pieces.

If you look at Jake's flamenco triplet strumming video, you'll notice he puts the down strum with the fingers as the beat whereas the flamenco guitarists will have the up strum with the thumb as the beat.

It's about taking elements and making it sound good on the uke... unless you want to study hardcore classical/flamenco in which case you wouldn't be playing uke.

all sounds good though :)
