A new song I recorded

That organ sound is really lovely.
Very nice song.

Ok. Sounds like a good foundation to build on. Do you a melody in mind to play over this?

sleepy-jack - Thanks :)

worm - No, this is it. I listen to a lot of ambient, neoclassical, post rock etc. At the risk of sounding pretentious, it's not supposed to consume all your attention like a pop hit; it's supposed to enhance a mood, inspire thought, whatever. Like a soundtrack for life. I'm not avoiding your critique, I just think we may have intentions for music.

No offense intended. Since it is 1 1/2 minutes I thought it was a work in progress rather than a finished product. I listened again, sounds good

Uke., if you enjoy ambient and neoclassical you may enjoy a few tracks from an album I made.
This is a minimalst inspired piano piece; http://iamacar.bandcamp.com/track/salt
And this is an Eno inspired ambient track; http://iamacar.bandcamp.com/track/a-dream-of-the-ocean

Cool... I'll take a listen. Check out Nihls Frahm if you haven't already, I'm sure you'll enjoy his stuff. Also, I'm from Leeds too! I live in Roundhay.

Cool, let me know what you think when you listen.

Ah cool! I'm in Headingley at the minute but I'll be moving in July, though I'm not sure where yet. Probably closer to the city or maybe back to Hyde Park.

Just listening to Nils Frahm now, really nice stuff. Quite similar to Max Richter and Ólafur Arnalds, which is great.
It's also quite similar to an artist called Goldmund, really beautiful piano stuff: Goldmund - Threnody

I thought they were both indredible! Very different to each other too, wish I knew how to use music tech and programmes better to make music electronically.

Yeah Olafur Arnalds is brilliant. As is Peter Broderick.

This has to be one of the most beautiful improvs I've ever heard.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=itErRn4T2no

Thank you!

Wow, that improv was brilliant.
And good to see that they are such good friends!
And that Peter Broderick was in the audience!
