I think Ukulele Ike once did this song, and I know Herb Ohta has a version. Does anyone have tab/chords for this song? I'd like to figure out a picking and strumming version.

Thanks in advance.

If it's the one I do, check out the MP3 link below.
look for " rohiguchi (at) gmail.com" without the @ symbol.
Click on that "address" the it should take you to a page that
has my 'hawaiian .pdfs' folder available for access.
The song should be found under "Song of Old Hawaii" :)

It's set up for strumming and singing, but if you know the melody,
you might be able to figure out your own tabs :)

keep uke'in',

Ukulele Ike did do this on a recording I have, Radio and Recording Rarities, Volume 24. I don't have a tab, but I found the chords and melody in a collection, Hits From Hawaii, No.1. (which was in a pdf collection that I bought from Ian Chadwick's site). I would love to have a tab of Ukulele Ike's version.

In this video I perform it on a baritone with a capo at the 4th fret (F Bb D G). The chords are F Fdim C C7 for the verses and Bb F G7 C7 for the bridge (There's a silver moon).

Dang Ray, that was really good.

Thank you Patrick. I would love to figure out exactly what Ukulele Ike is playing on his recording. Nobody does it better. Cliff Edwards was one of the greatest interpreters of song and one of the greatest ukulele players to ever live. Nothing short of sheer genius. Great tune written by Gordon Beecher and Johnny Noble.

I really love this old song. This is one of the very first songs that I learned as a beginner ukulele player and enthusiast. This YouTube link is one example by which I learned this song, performed by a ukulele teacher named Mele Fong: http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=kS43jmbS3Ms

There are five chords used with the strumming pattern called "swing strum".

Thank you very much!
