Weezer...
So, I was trying to play this song, I know the chords, Em, Am, D, G.
But, It doesnt exactly feel right... Is it right?

Those are the chords use. Except on the D chord i just push the G C and E strings on the second fret. The the stum pattern is Em (Down Chuk) Am (Up down Chuk) D (Up Up) G ( Up Down Up) Hope that helps!

does anyone know how to play the fill or the solo with those chords?
cant seem to figure it out.

solo

i play it like this:

A ------------------------------------------
E ------------------------------3-2-3-3----
C ------------------------------------------
G 7-9-7--5-4-5-4-----2-4-2---------------

Chords :
Em (0432)
Am (2000)
D (2220)
G (0232)
C (0003)

Em Am D G

Hip hip
Hip hip
Hip hip
Hip hip

When you're on a holiday
You can't find the words to say
All the things that come to you
And I wanna feel it too

On an island in the sun
We'll be playing and having fun
And it makes me feel so fine
I can't control my brain

Hip hip
Hip hip

When you're on a golden sea
You don't need no memory
Just a place to call your own
As we drift into the zone

On an island in the sun
We'll be playing and having fun
And it makes me feel so fine
I can't control my brain

D G D G
We'll run away together
We'll spend some time forever
We'll never feel bad anymore

Hip hip
Hip hip
Hip hip

On an island in the sun
We'll be playing and having fun
And it makes me feel so fine
I can't control my brain

We'll run away together
We'll spend some time forever
C Am D
We'll never feel bad anymore

Hip hip

We'll never feel bad anymore
No no
We'll never feel bad anymore
No no
No no
No no

I play the melody like this: (The solo should be the same as the verse)

verse:
---7-5-3-2-3-2----2-0------------7-5-3-2-3-2----2-0------------
-3--------------3-----3-2-3-3--3--------------3-----3-2-3-3----
---------------------------------------------------------------
---------------------------------------------------------------

refrain:
---------0-2-2--2-2-0-2-3-5-5--5-5-5-3-3-2-2-0-0------------
-3-3-2-3----------------------------------------- 3-2-3-3----
------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------

bridge:
-------------2--------------2--3-3-2-2-0---0-2-0----
-2-2-2-3-3-3----2-2-2-3-3-3--------------3----------
----------------------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------

ending:
-10-9-10-9-7-5-7-5-2----
-------------------------
-------------------------
-------------------------

I am still stuck which strumming pattern to use though. There is a second chunk somewhere. Aldrine played the beginning on his uke minutes no. 16. But I haven't figured it out yet .

Mine is similar, I use:
Em - Down Chunk
Am - Up down Chunk
D - Up Up Chunk
G - Up Down Chunk

I also believe this is what Aldrine is doing in his video. Also, he uses an alternate fingering for the Am, I believe it's 2453 - correct me if I'm wrong.

instead of playing 2000 for the Am chord, try using the higher Am: 5453

sounds closer to the real song :)

I think thats a little hard to find after an Em. i just add a higher C onto the a string.. so its 2003

Theres a uke lesson on that.

for the fill, it's quite simple.
you just pick out the chords:

Em Am D G
-------------0----0--------------------
---3---3---0---0-------2----2---3---3--
4----4---------------2----2----2---2---
----------------------------------------

I had the same problem for the longest time but then i figured out that for the D chord you play it in its formation which makes it an octave higher that chord is the same as a normal D with three strings on the second fret and then ALSO press down the 5th fret for the A string.

I just copied each tab played by Aldrene in his play along video for the Solo,

A----7--5--3--2--3--2----2--0---------------
E-------------------------------3--2--3--3--- x2
C--2-------------------2---------------------
G--------------------------------------------

What I do is
Em down strum down strum up strum
Am down strum down strum
D up strum up strum down strum up strum
G down strum down strum up strum on bottom 3 strings

Here's the vid some of you are referring to. It sounds right to me. But I have a tin ear. And I can't control my brain. Both.
