35TH SEASON OF UKE: "Coffee, Tea And Honey Makes Three"

Here's my first entry for this week. I think this is gonna be for tea as I have some other coffee ideas. Thanks for a great theme Jon. I hope your shirt arrives soon.

I've picked out my three... well, two of my three...

and I can't promise there won't be a fourth that covers all three...

Good one, brother!
E, you've been missed, will be great to have you back on board and posting some songs for us to enjoy brother :)

Really nice theme for this week, Jon! And wow Decaturcomp! Three already!
ha ha Michael, I need a whole judging panel just to keep up with Alan's entries alone...let alone the rest of em!!! Looking forward very much to what you and your wife come up with mate. Blessings to you both. :)

Tea making is there a right way to do it? Here are my ideas.
Based on some conversations with some Japanese, who are
supposed to know something about tea making.

1) Boil the water until the bubbles are the size
of lobster's eyes and you get a "bright" tea.
2) If the bubbles in the water are as big as an
Bull's eye the the water is spoilt and you get a "dull" tea.

The explaination for this is that too vigerous boiling drives
out all the oxygen in the water and it loses its vitality.

3) Brew the tea for only 3 minutes this ensures a "bright" tea.
4) If you brew the tea for more that 3 minutes then the tannins
are extracted from the leaves and the tea becomes "bitter" or "stewed"

5) It is a little known fact that tannin is in actual fact a pH indicator
like litmus or phenolthalene and it will change colour according to the pH of the tea.

6) To correct a "bitter" tea you can add a slice of lemon.
As you add the lemon the tea will visibly lighten as the citric acid
from the lemon lowers the pH and the tannin reacts.

Come on!!! own up!!! you just invented all that didn't you ???

decatur: great entries! Really liked the Let it bleed version.

29moons: I've always like this song too, great choice and well done.

wee ginga and xommen (everyone else too)- one day I might come close to singing like you guys. Two thumbs up!

Always great to hear original songs -- there you have it just lay it on the line.
I need coffee in the morning. hahahahahah Mine just showed up thank goodness.
This was enjoyable to listen to. Well done.

My Entry for this Season, I wrote an original song as I don't know any coffee or tea song.
The observant viewer might notice, it also fits the previous season ;-).
I would say this is mainly a coffee song, but it's also about tea.

Now see there not only great music but also a valuable lesson in the fine
art of making an excellent cup of tea. You are just a wealth of information.
And provide musical entertainment as well - what more can be asked.
Fabulous.

Isn't it great when something immediately comes to mind !
Like the coffee mug. Have to content myself with a starbucks
paper to go cup this morning. Will remedy that one tomorrow.
enjoyed the music.

Great one Moons!
Love your take on this song. I always liked it for Popper's harmonica breaks but you sell it as a song that stands on its own. Fine performance.

Think am caught on the videos so far - all good entries this is going to be
a great season challenge.

Decaturcomp
Let it bleed jasmine tea - Nice easy song style.

Cook with Honey - Again another easy listening gem.

One more cup of Coffee - Yet again another excellent selection.
never heard this song but i like it. Good job.

Dougf. - Black Coffee
Your playing is always so stellar
Nice laid back styling.

The Bird Singing was courtesy of Ruby Red my little Gouldian Finch. Was surprised he didn't
do a fly by while recording. He has full reign of that room. Apparently he was enjoying the
music as he he piped in a number of times. He is so cute. What a lovely compliment like
a zephyr i love the wind. Indeed all creation is alive and dances in it's beauty.

Like a zephyr... I like the way the breeze caught the ruffle on your shoulder
and the way the trees were dancing in the background. Sometimes all creation sings
if we only stop and notice.

Nice one John! That's a tough song to sing, your voice suits it well. I was wondering what you were going to do for the harp solo. Nicely done.

Really such a nice song. So many changes in rhythm back and forth in a song about change. I loved the way the wind blew through on cue and that last beautiful high note.

OK here is my entry for Season 35 -

Added an extra verse thank you to this challenge.
