Doc J commented in another thread that there should be a place where UU members could post pics of their Moore Bettahs, the same way that Jon started the thread for Mya Moe owners. So here it is. I'm surprised that someone hasn't already done this. It will be really nice to see many of Chuck's musical works of art all in one place, beside his webpage. So it is time to pay homage to the man who has made us all aspire for one of his beauties.

Please post what ever background info you would like to about your uke/ukes. Specifications, serial number, etc.

"The Phoenix"

Glad you started the thread Dana. Beautiful ukes you have, especially the Phoenix.

Here's my Moore Bettah "Honu" Soprano. (This is the brother of Canoe Lady's soprano.)
Number 1201
Traditionally styled soprano with 3A curly koa on the body and headstock veneer
Bindings, fret board, and bridge are ebony
Green and white purfling and rosette add a vintage look
The honu inlays are MOP

Dana how old is the cutaway? I know Chuck doesn't use closed geared tuners anymore

My milo/spruce and Stan's milo/spruce are basically the same instrument, except Stan's has the offset soundhole and mine has the standard. I wonder if they sound different?
