This is a very cool song from his ukulele album. Since I'm not a native english speaker I'm having a hard time understanding his accent.

Oh why I like ukuleles
They always make me smile
Whatever troubles comes your way
It'll be OK in a little while (not sure)

Just plick a little tune now
It's easy if you try
Just a couple of chords and a flick of the wrist
And you start to wonder why...

...You've never tried this before
It'll open a door
To something you that thought you couldn't do

And take it from me
That little jumping flea
Will cheer you up and chase away your blues

So give me a uke
Oh what a ukulele (not sure)
It speaks to me saying please, please play me

All through the day
??? on my hand
I'll be strumming away
'Till the cows come home

So play your ukulele
Don't keep it to yourself
??? find a way
??? national health

??? a ukulele
Is always been a friend
I always try to keep it close
??? the very end

(lap steel)

So give me a uke
Oh what a ukulele (not sure)
It speaks to me saying please, please play me

All through the day
??? on my hand
I'll be strumming away
'Till the cows come home

(lap steel)

I will try to figure out the chords when I have the time, but if someone already have it, please share! If something else is wrong and if you spot it please tell as well!

I want a u-ku-lele

They should stick 'em on national health

I love my a ukulele
Is always been a friend

Think this is it.

One more correction from a Brit...

In the verse before the first lap steel instrumental, it is "I'll hold it tight and keep it close

This is a very cute song. Thanks for finding it! I've downloaded it and will come up with a song sheet for our uke club.

Cheers!
