Picked up this tenor resonator from a local chap; all metal body. Turns out to have been made by Mike Soares in the Gibson factory in China. Heavy (21-22lb?) and a wide neck (wider than my Goldtone tenor), but sweet sound. Will experiment with a Tusq saddle, too.

Gorgeous Ian. How have you got it tuned?

That's a beauty!

I play the tenor tuned "Chicago" style - DGBE. Basically a super-baritone uke. Well, a HEAVY baritone in this case. I think I'll save the Tusq saddle to try with a Kala tenor reso uke I'm planning to buy and restring with steel strings.

It's an odd, yet beautiful instrument. Great sound, but the width of the fretboard makes me clumsy compared to my Goldtone T18. Need more practice, I suppose. The sound is almost like a banjo, which also influences how I play. Some songs that are sweet and lovely on a uke are harsh on this instrument.
