Vintage Martins

I've never see a lower price for a vintage Martin 3M in that pristine a condition

I see "repaired crack" listed. That the same one you guys were seeing?

Yes. Every old Martin has a small crack here or there. Mine:

Per Walsh/King, that fretboard was 1947 to 1955. In 1948 they introduced those tuners to the Martin 3. In 1950 they stopped adding the parend/moustache. So, that is specifically a 1948, 1949 or maybe 1950. I like ukes I can date pretty specifically.

Vintage ukes has looks, appeal, playability, like a new uke. Plus they have one more thing that new ukes don't: appreciation.

If Bernunzio is selling that for $2k (it still says, $3.5k)... someone buy it! It's reassuring to have the backing of a real store.

I noticed that too. Tom's new book really helps to nail down the year made.
