How old were you when you started playing the uke?

Thank you i do...and it is in most excellent condition. dad comes over every Sunday and he plays the keyboards while i try my best on the ukulele. he says i'm good, the wife says i'm good, but i see others on here who are REALLY good...

Some day I want to be REALLY good, too. In the meantime I'll just keep enjoying the journey. I hope I keep getting better at it, and I think I am... but to me, my goal is to have fun every time I pick up a uke.

And I sure do.

30-40... the mystery of that statement will get to someone... ;)

Ahh... But have any of us REALLY started? That is the question... :)

as a 6th grader in HNL because it was part of the teacher's curriculum.

Blessings on you, Mrs Wong, wherever you are!!

That was back in 1960 I believe! So it's been a few years. No real instruction since then, just a lot of practice and self-discovery, as in lots of 'ah-ha' moments when trying to figure things out.

It's been a lot of fun over the years.

keep uke'in' everybody, :)

19. I am now at the age of 22.
Best thing I ever did

37... Almost a year ago now. Can't imagine my life without it.. What the heck did I do before??

If I remember correctly, I was the same age as my tonsils and a little bit older than my teeth.
