[G7] Pearly [C] Shells, from the ocean,
Shining in the [F] sun, covering the [G] shore,
When I [C] see them my heart [F] tells me that I love you
More than [C] all the [G7] little pearly [C] shells
For every [G7] grain of sand upon the beach
I’ve [F] got a kiss for [C] you
And I've got [G7] more left over
for each star that [D7] twinkles in the [G7] blue
Pearly [C] Shells, from the ocean,
Shining in the [F] sun, covering the [G] shore,
When I [C] see them my heart [F] tells me that I love you

Part of the slow thread thing is the season, I think. Folks have lots they want to do in the summertime, and want to be out enjoying the weather. That, and vacations.
That's my answer, and I'm sticking to it....
I'm going with denial. There's a lot of folks who just aren't here anymore. Stuff changes. Can't step in the same river twice etc.I'll go with that.
But that might just be denial.

Life changes. No doubt about it.
Is that twice in the same river, a Michigan thing? I don't think I've ever hear that one.
Mandi, sucks that you are sick in the hospital. Hopefully, you feel better soon!!
