Does anybody know of an online resource or other material teaching how to play trills, tremolos, slides, appogiaturas and other classical/baroque ornaments on the ukulele?

Thanks

Jordi

Doing a search for the study of mordents (mordents is the word for trills, grace notes, and all manners of single note ornamentation) should yield results. There are a few good books on this, though here is an online source you may find helpful:

Despite this detailed explanation of different mordents, keep in mind that mordents are a topic of often heated debate within the community of baroque specialists. Whether to begin a grace note on the primary pitch, or a diatonic tone above is an oft repeated debate. So, do some studying, listening, practicing, decide what you like and do it. The particulars of any specific type shouldn't be an issue unless you need to phrase it with another player, in which case you ought to be on the same page. Hope that helps. Jason

Thanks! This is one of the kinds of things I've always wanted to try playing, but couldn't quite get a handle on.
I think my ears have their work cut out for them.
