This is incredible - I feel so unworthy to be here. I can barely tie shoes when I get out of bed. Pa is waking up and writing songs!!! Is this just something that comes naturally or something that is more practiced?

Navajopa tag talk

On Youtube sometimes you get tagged to answer different questions about what
you like or dislike. I heard a video of an old gardener I follow and he just quickly
read through his answers to the questions It was the timbre to his voice and the
speed at which he spoke that enthralled me so this is a little found sound song I made up.

I had been listening to My Life In The Bush Of Ghosts by BYRNE and Eno and that
gave me the idea to try something like this.

We haven't participated in the seasons lately. Way too busy with work... But we did write a little song ourselves the last time we took part!
Might as well share it here:

Cliches with C5

I was happy to find this thread as a substitute for not getting an entry into season 143. Won't bore you with all the excuses. But here's a song I wrote a while ago called clichés. Such a lot of clichés in songs I thought I'd write one based on clichés. It was written to introduce my group to the C5 power chord.

I've been indulging in a bit of songwriting recently.

Words and chords are in the video but a word of warning if you decide to play along. I wrote the song originally in D but my tenor is tuned EAC#F# and I'm actually singing it in E on the video.

I've been pretty scarce around these parts for a while--hope I'm still considered a Seasonista! I woke up this morning, heard the news, and this song started coming to me while I got ready for work. I had Steve Earle's melody in my head from the start, so I decided to just go with it. "Christmas in Washington, Part 2":

In the year of the Jubilee

Peace on earth and goodwill towards all men... we are still waiting.
Is it time for the Rolling Jubilee?
