[F] Paper back [C] writer [Csus4] [G7sus4]

Dear [C] Sir or Madam, will you read my book?
It took me years to write, will you take a look?
It's based on a novel by a man named Lear
And I need a job, so I want to be a paperback [F] writer,
Paperback [C] writer.

[C] It's the dirty story of a dirty man
And his clinging wife doesn't understand.
His son is working for the Daily Mail,
It's a steady job but he wants to be a paperback [F] writer,
Paperback [C] writer.

[F] Paper back [C] writer [Csus4] writer [G7sus4] writer

It's a [C] thousand pages, give or take a few,
I'll be writing more in a week or two.
I can make it longer if you like the style,
I can change it round and I want to be a paperback [F] writer,
Paperback [C] writer.

[C] If you really like it you can have the rights,
It could make a million for you overnight.
If you must return it, you can send it here
But I need a break and I want to be a paperback [F] writer,
Paperback [C] writer.

For my walks this week I have been using an app called The Walk. It tells you a spy story as you go, and you are the main character. You have to earn the next segment of the story. It is a nice change of pace. After I finish this app I also have one called Run, Zombies!

Good morning Don.

Did ya get all those songs for the jam group figured out?

Not yet. I've decided that I have a lot of songs in my "Rob Files" that would be appropriate for this group, so I need to finish working out how to print them from my laptop. I will borrow Bill's song sheets on Saturday for copying....

I got the printer working with my laptop! It means crawling under the desk and reaching behind the desktop CPU to get the USB cable, but it works. I wasn't able to readily figure out the wireless printing function, but this'll work for now.

The upshot is that I've got a bunch of songs printed out for the jam session on Saturday. Actually, I've got enough for many weeks' worth of sessions, as I'm not the only one suggesting and leading songs.

I tried to select stuff from my "Rob Files" that I thought the other group members would like:

Abilene, George Hamilton IV
A Boy Named Sue, Johnny Cash
Blue Eyes Cryin' in the Rain, Willie Nelson
Cryin' in the Rain, The Everly Brothers
Cathy's Clown, The Everly Brothers
Daddy Sang Bass, Johnny Cash
Don't Think Twice It's Alright, Bob Dylan
Flowers on the Wall, The Statler Brothers
Folsom Prison Blues, Johnny Cash
Mama Tried, Merle Haggard
On the Road Again, Willie Nelson
Runaround Sue, Dion and the Belmonts
Runaway, Del Shannon
Running Bear, Johnny Preston
Sixteen Tons, Tennessee Ernie Ford
Suspicious Minds, Elvis Presley
Take This Job and Shove It, Johnny Paycheck
The Gambler, Kenny Rogers
Wagon Wheel, Old Crow Medicine Show
Walkin' After Midnight, Patsy Cline
Where Oh Where Are You Tonight, Buck Owens
Who's Sorry Now, Patsy Cline
Wolverton Mountain, Claude King
You Were Always On My Mind, Willie Nelson

I'm sure there will something there that everyone will like. Some of them I have in multiple keys. I'll add these to the 8 or 10 songs I've already offered at the jam and the song sheets Bill has printed up. Pretty soon I'll have a binder full....
