Class of 2015!
Life is very very very very busy. Exciting and exhausting in equal parts. These days I'm mostly involved in my school choir (I am the president) and when I'm not singing im either working or doing homework. (Notice sleep is not included here.)
I plan to attend college for music and English or Writing. Location is still up in the air, but if it isn't here at home (Hawaii Pacific University, or University of Hawaii) it'll be somewhere in either Oregon, or California. Namely, I'm looking at George Fox, Seattle Pacific, The Masters College, and Westmont. There are others, but I've pretty much narrowed it down to those.

All my applications are due in exactly one month. WHOAH!

Oh Lauren this makes me so happy! Any of those schools will be thrilled to have you.

Of course you're in choir, we always said you had a beautiful voice.

Let us know which college you pick.

[C] I can't stop this [Cmaj7] feeling [C7] deep inside of [F] me
[Fm] Girl you just don't [C] realize what you [G7] do to me

When you [C] hold me in your [C+] arms so tight
You let me [Am/C] know every [C7*] thing's alright
[F]I I I [G] I, I’m hooked on a [C] feeling [G7]
High on be[F]lieving [G7]
That you're in [C] love with [Em] me [F] [G7]

[C] Lips are sweet as [Cmaj7] candy
The [C7] taste stays on my [F] mind
[Fm] Girl you keep me [C] thirsty for a [G7] nother cup of wine

I [C] got it bad for [Cmaj7] you girl
But [C7] I don't need no [F] cure
[Fm] I'll just stay ad[C]dicted and hope I [G7] can endure

All the [C] good love when we're [C+] all alone
Keep it [Am/C] up girl yeah you [C7*] turn me on
[F]I I I [G] I, I’m hooked on a [C] feeling [G7]
High on be[F]lieving [G7]
That you're in [C] love with [Em] me [F] [G7]

Instrumental: [C] [Cmaj7] [C7] [F] [Fm] [C] [G7]

All the [C] good love when we're [C+] all alone
Keep it [Am/C] up girl yeah you [C7*] turn me on
[F]I I I [G] I, I’m hooked on a [C] feeling [G7]

That you're in [C] love with [Em] me [F] [G7]
That you're in [C] love with [Em] me [F] [G7] [C]

[Cmaj7] = (0002)
[C+] = (1003)
[Am/C] = (2003)
[C7*] = (3003)

OK, on the [C], [Cmaj7] and [C7] run, You're just moving your finger towards the nut on the A string.
On the [C+ (aug)], [Am/C] and [C7*], you hold the C note on the A string and first fret the G string (C+ or aug), then slide to the second fret of the G string (Am/C), and finally to the third fret of the G string for the (C7*).

When I went to put this one on the list I see I already posted it once. (7/18/13) Man, reruns.

I went back and found it.

While I was searching I found this.

I was looking at a song and they said to use a Esus7. Which I took to be a Esus4 and the 7th (dominate, AKA flat7). Esus4 is the first, fourth and fifth notes played together. E, A and B. If you put the seventh (dominate) on this it would be, E, A, B and D. Which would fret (4200). Technically writing sus after a chord means sus4. Otherwise you'd note a sus2.

Ok, then. That was too much thinking this early. It must be breakfast time. Later!

QUESTION OF THE DAY

What is your favorite movie and why?

I don't really have favorite movies, but one that I can watch all the way through whenever it comes on cable is "O Brother, Where Art Thou?" Full of Coen Brothers weirdness and incredibly good music.

A remarkably good movie that most people haven't seen is "Pennies From Heaven," an early Steve Martin movie. It contrasts the reality of Depression-era America with the sunny production numbers from the Hollywood musicals of the time in a way that is surprisingly moving.

QOTD: Ever had a brush with fame?

I once gave Johnny Cougar Mellencamp a flyer for Otter Fest, we were at the same Mexican restaurant (he didn't come, and didn't read it, the jerk).
