I miss my mums. The rain beat them down, but they were beautiful while they lasted.

My wife was reading reviews and said the horses are a little more aggressive and they eat your garbage and if you tent they walk close enough to step on you inside your tent.

My lovely bride decided to make up artificial flowers in hanging baskets for outside this fall. She said she was tired of watering plants every day. Hopefully, they will last a few seasons?
Those are beautiful! We have mums, too, but not like those. Ours are not multi-colored, although we have several different solid colors. They did spectacularly well this year, for some reason, even though the plants were inexpensive when we got them (last year)....
We have a large, wrap-around porch, with spaces for nine hanging baskets of flowers. It didn't take long to become tired of watering them, but my wife loves the flowers, so something had to be done.
I installed a drip irrigation system that runs on a timer to water the hanging plants. It's great on a day-to-day basis, and waters the plants even when we are away on vacation. It's a little fiddly to get it set up each spring and take down each fall, but it's not bad, really. The end result is most definitely worth it, for our situation....

That's mums. If you cut them back after they die in the fall then put a little mulch over the top they will do real good next year. Even better if you trim them a little though beginning of July then they will be large and full.
