Oye. Do you guys have a security plan? I know the one at my church is severely lacking in planning and training. It's frustrating. When we are working during the week we keep the door locked, and one person wears an alarm button on a lanyard.

I was 25 when I was a supervisor. Had to give an honest performance review to an employee whose best friend was her previous manager. I gave her a VERY good review - she was an excellent employee, but nobody is perfect, no matter what your best friend manager says.

She was furious. I transferred to a non-managerial job not too long after that.

Oh, and I had to get in between two long-term employees before fists started flying once. I did tell them that if either one attempted a punch they'd both be fired. I think the phrase, "I'm half your age and more mature than the both of you combined" may have been used.

I was witness to the infamous F-you fight in the math department.

We had two teachers, who both got fired the same year as this because they sucked, get into a verbal argument that resulted in "**** YOU!" being screamed back and forth. It was hilarious and sad to see two middle aged guys yell at each other like middle school kids.

I of course sat between them saying things like "Ooh, good comeback; You told him!; Are you going to take that? etc."

I was not very helpful. Both guys needed to be out of teaching, they sucked as teachers. As people too.

Some more glass...

Good overall. Working on being better. Loving my new job. Hoping I get a little busier at my other ones. Working my way out of a small depressive spell.

What’s the new job? Glad to hear you starting to feel better.

Ok. I have shared way too much. So I will shut up now. I look forward to hearing what everyone has been up to and sharing some pics - even the decluttered drawers.

Were they trying to break in or just vandalize? In either case - that's disturbing.

Cider is getting to be quite the thing around here, isn't it? That's my BIL's go-to adult beverage. We always make sure to have some around when they visit, and I always try to find things he hasn't tried before.

Yes, it’s nice. I hadn’t had much of it before. Only once in a while until I couldn’t have beer anymore. I have some Crispin pear cider at the moment. It’s so good.
