Hello - I've been asked a number of times about the custom ukes I have, so I've started photographing them to share on IG and here on UU. Eventually I will get to recording sound demos as well.
First up is one of my most recent acquisitions which is an Eric DeVine baritone with a Carpathian Spruce top, Cuban Mahogany back and sides, curly koa binding, and orange opal inlay for the purfling, and the signature inlays on the headstock, fretboard, rosette, and bridge.
A cool tidbit about the cuban mahogany used on this uke. It came from a tree that was living on the estate of King Kamehameha IV while he was still alive and living there!
