I just sorted out all my uke stuff. For some reason, I have a dozen fretboards and blanks to make three or four more. I know I'll never make a dozen ukuleles, but it's nice knowing I have the parts. :)

I also have a dozen or more sets of tuners, but most of them are cheapies that I removed to replace with something better.

If I was making a uke, spoilage would be a big issue concerning what I had on hand. :p

You can make a huge zither or a harp out of all the junky tuning machines you have removed from ukes. You can put it somewhere it can be strummed as you walk by it.

Wow! I want to know how you find time to change strings on all those.
I bought a guitar a few years ago, it sounds great. I'm hoping that when I change the strings for the first time, I'm not disappointed. I suppose I'm somewhat embarrassed to admit that. Now that I think about it, I have 4 ukes with the original strings that came with them as used purchases. An A-string is fraying (living waters) but it has been fraying for three or four years!

Did you ever hear George Carlin's rant about "Stuff" ? Five minutes.
