FS: Vintage soprano ukulele that may be an original Nunes

There is no label on the inside but the front and rear of the headstock and the work around the soundhole suggest it is a Nunes. It is in very good condition. I had a luthier go over it this summer. He went through his books and thinks it is an original Nunes, based on the stamp on back of the headstock. He did some work on the bridge. I thought the higher frets needed work but the luthier said they are just a bit on the narrow side, so they can be a challenge to play without buzzing.

Kumalae also used the same hole decoration. (ant head decal too). Nice one.

yes, also a Kohalos. The luthier and I went over photos of both sides of the headstock though, and it was his belief that it was a Nunes, based on what he could see. I certainly wish it had the label, but the back of the headstock was most telling to him.

I don't believe Kumalae had the TABU stamp, if that is what is on the back of the head.
